Flat Creek Baptist has a responsibility to be witnesses to our “Jerusalem” community around us Acts 1:8. Activities are scheduled such as Upward Soccer, Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), Harvest Fest, and Back to Bethlehem to help us do just that. Watch for these events as they are announced and become involved.
LABOR OF LOVE OUTREACH
August 28-September 11
Our 2011 outreach will coincide with the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. This year we want to honor our heroes, those “first responders” who serve us in our
community, risking their lives for our safety and protection.
Our own Connie Bratcher has written a poem entitled “Our Heroes” for this event. We will be asking our congregation to share our love and appreciation for these individuals and the services they provide in our community, and to invite them to join us on Sunday morning, September 11, for a very special worship service of remembrance.
Our “Labor Of Love” had a wonderful kick-off on Sunday, August 28, as we visited local fire stations to delivery sweet treats and invitations to our "Service Of Remembrance" on Sunday, September 11th. Please be in prayer for this outreach event and for the upcoming service. Be sure to invite our "first responders" for this service.
Please contact the office if you need more invitation bookmarks.
