I have previously served First Baptist Perry, Ash Street in Forest Park, First Baptist Chatsworth, East Side in Dalton and Second Baptist Cedartown.
After sensing God’s call to Music Ministry I received a Bachelor of Music from the University of West Georgia and Master of Divinity in Church Music from Luther Rice Seminary. My life verse is 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things which you have heard from me among many witnesses the same commit thou to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also.” Ministry at FCBC is very exciting as we see preschoolers, children, youth and adults grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through music. My wife Diane and I have three children: Lauren, Lindsay and Landon and one grandchild, John Michael Huthchens II.

Our ministry goal is to partner with our parents to lay foundations for boys and girls to come to know Jesus. Our goal is to teach them to Love Jesus, with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love their neighbor as their self . We offer age appropriate hands on classes for preschoolers, birth- K-5 and children grades 1-5 with a special pre-teen department for our 6th graders.
